As of Friday, December 6, 2024, the “Follow Notifications” feature has been resumed for users accessing Niconico from overseas.

This feature, which had been restricted since Thursday, October 30, 2024, has been resumed following numerous requests and feedback from our users. After implementing adjustments to the feature, we are pleased to announce its resumption.

We will continue working to improve our services to provide a more comfortable experience for all our users.

Following the resumption of the “Follow Notifications” feature, the following changes will apply when accessing niconico from overseas:

Regarding Newly Uploaded Videos:
There may be a delay of approximately 15 minutes before newly uploaded videos appear on the timeline.

Regarding Sensitive Content:
Notifications for certain sensitive content will not be displayed.

Regarding Niconico Seiga (Illustrations):
Notifications related to Niconico Seiga (Illustrations) will not be displayed.
